TRACK DAY ESSENTIALS

WHAT TO BRING TO THE TRACK

Prepare for a comfortable and enjoyable day at the track by packing a few essentials. Stay hydrated and energized with water, sports drinks like Gatorade, or other electrolyte drinks. Bring a folding chair for downtime and a bag to store any personal items you’ll need to remove from your car. Don’t forget your helmet (unless you’re renting one), closed-toe shoes for safety, and sun protection like sunglasses, a hat, and sunblock. Bug spray is also recommended during the hotter months. These items will help ensure you're ready for a great day on and off the track.

WHAT TO WEAR TO THE TRACK

Choose attire that ensures both comfort and safety while driving. For street cars, shorts and t-shirts are permitted, but we recommend wearing a long-sleeved shirt and pants, preferably made of cotton. If you’re driving a caged racecar, a driving suit is required. Closed-toe shoes are required, and don’t forget sunglasses to reduce glare and keep your vision sharp throughout the day.

WHEN TO ARRIVE AT THE TRACK

The event schedule along with your session times will be emailed the week before the event. COTA arrival time is typically 6:00 am. To access the paddock, enter via COTA Blvd, drive past Lot “A,” and continue to the guard shack located between Turns 11 and 12. Before arriving, ensure you’ve completed the electronic COTA waiver via the link provided in your event info email. Once at the guard shack, verify your waiver, then proceed through Tunnel “2.” After driving about a half mile, turn right into the paddock. Avoid using Tunnel “1,” as that is not the correct route. When parking, please be mindful not to block trailers or occupy another driver’s designated spot.
